About

About Brasserie Blanc

Brasserie Blanc was founded by legendary French chef Raymond Blanc OBE, the culinary mind behind the two-Michelin-starred Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons in Great Milton, Oxfordshire. Where Le Manoir represents Blanc's most exalted cooking, Brasserie Blanc exists to bring that same respect for seasonal ingredients and French technique to a welcoming, everyday setting accessible to all. The group opened its first brasserie in Oxford in the mid-1990s, and the brand has since grown to thirteen locations stretching from Chancery Lane and Southbank in London to Leeds, Winchester, Cheltenham and beyond.

The philosophy at every Brasserie Blanc is the same: proper French brasserie food, prepared fresh each day from quality British and French produce, served without fuss or formality. Signature soufflés — the dish Raymond Blanc calls his greatest love — are crafted to order at every table; the group served over 130,000 of them in 2025 alone. Alongside the soufflés, the menu spans classic escargots, pâtés, moules marinières, steak frites, duck confit and tarte Tatin, all delivered by a team trained to explain provenance, wine pairings and the story behind each plate.

In 2026 the group celebrated its 30th anniversary, marking three decades of bringing a taste of France to towns and cities across the United Kingdom. Brasserie Blanc is owned by Heartwood Collection, which also operates sister brands White Brasserie Company and Browns Brasseries & Bars. The group's commitment to sustainability — including sourcing from British farms where possible and reducing food waste — reflects Blanc's long-held belief that good food and responsibility to the land are inseparable.
