About Bounce Farringdon

London's original underground ping-pong bar, 2012-2025.

Bounce Farringdon opened in 2012 at 121 Holborn -- the precise site in London where Jacques of London trademarked the game of ping pong in 1901. That history was central to Bounce's identity. The completely open 12,500 sq ft subterranean space housed 17 custom-built ping-pong tables, a 95-cover wood-fired pizza restaurant, a 40-foot bar and an event space. At its peak it billed itself as Europe's largest purpose-built Social Ping Pong Club.

The concept was created by State of Play Hospitality, which later expanded to Old Street and Battersea Power Station. The Farringdon original was the proving ground for the format: competitive table tennis paired with craft cocktails, a proper kitchen and a DJ programme. Its subterranean setting -- two minutes from Farringdon and Chancery Lane stations -- made it one of the most distinctive experiential venues in central London.

After 13 years of service, Bounce Farringdon took its final serve on Saturday 14 June 2025.
