Pairings & rewards

Drink + bakery pairings & Dutch Rewards combos

Dutch Bros isn't a food-forward chain — there's no real "combo meal" the way fast food has one — but most stands stock packaged snacks at the window, and the Dutch Rewards app routinely runs paired-drink promotions. Here's the closest equivalent.

Annihilator + Granola Bar~$7.95

  • Annihilator (Medium) — $5.25
  • Bobo's oat bar or Picky Bars — ~$2.70

The classic Dutch Bros morning grab: a breve espresso + a packaged bar from the window. Bar selection varies by stand.

Rebel + Muffin Top~$8.50

  • Blue Rebel (Medium) — $5.95
  • Muffin top or madeleine — ~$2.55

The afternoon-energy pickup. Stands typically stock muffin tops, biscotti, and seasonal packaged baked goods.

Customization costs

What it costs to customize your Dutch Bros drink

Dutch Bros is built around customization — most regulars stack multiple flavors, swap milks, and add Soft Top. Here are the most-asked upcharges with current national-average pricing. Customization prices vary by market; confirm at your local stand.

Soft Top+$0.65

  • Sweet cold-foam crown on any drink
  • Vanilla, chocolate, caramel and seasonal Soft Top flavors available
  • Comparable to Starbucks cold foam (+$1.00)

Lower upcharge than Starbucks's cold foam and a more dominant texture in the cup.

Extra espresso shot+$0.85

  • Adds one shot of espresso to any drink
  • 9-1-1 = standard build + 1 extra shot (built in)
  • ER-911 = standard build + 3 extra shots (built in)

Often the cheapest way to boost caffeine vs. upsizing the drink.

Alt-milk swap (Oat / Almond / Coconut / Lactose-free)+$0.65–$0.85

  • Oat milk: most popular swap
  • Almond, coconut, lactose-free also stocked
  • Soy not stocked at most stands

Lower than Starbucks's $0.80 dairy-alternative upcharge in most markets.

Extra flavor / syrup+$0.70

  • Adds one extra syrup pump on top of the standard build
  • Dutch Bros has 60+ flavor syrups
  • First 2-4 syrups in a Rebel build are included

Rebels include multiple flavors by default; you usually only pay extra when you go beyond the base build.

Red Bull base swap+$1.50

  • Replace espresso / coffee with Red Bull as the drink base
  • Available on most flavor builds
  • Higher caffeine than the espresso version

Less marketed than the Rebel line — but lets you build any Dutch Bros flavor combo on a Red Bull base.

Cup upsize (Small → Large)+$1.20

  • Small (16 oz cold / 12 oz hot)
  • Medium (24 oz / 16 oz)
  • Large (32 oz / 20 oz)

Doubling the volume costs about $1.20 — usually the best per-ounce value on the menu is the Large.

California, Hawaii, and urban West stands typically run 10–15% higher; Texas, Idaho and Arizona suburban stands often sit at or below the prices shown. Dietary & allergen guide

Vegan, dairy-free & lower-sugar picks

Dutch Bros isn't a food chain, so most allergen concerns at the stand are about the drinks. Alt-milks (oat, almond, coconut, lactose-free) are stocked at every stand and routinely swap into any drink for $0.65–$0.85. Soy is not generally stocked. Most syrups are vegan; the chocolate and white chocolate sauces contain dairy.

Cross-contact possible. Confirm with the broista if you have a serious allergy — chocolate sauce containers and breve drinks (half-and-half base) share preparation areas.

  • Vegan-friendly base: Rebel (energy drink), Lemonade, Iced Tea, Dutch Soda
  • Dairy-free latte: any drink swapped to oat / almond / coconut milk (+$0.65–$0.85)
  • Sugar-free option: any syrup is available sugar-free at no upcharge
  • Lowest-calorie picks: Drip Coffee (~5 cal), plain Iced Tea (~0), Americano (~10)
  • Skip the breve: swap half-and-half for skim milk on Annihilator / Picture Perfect / Cocomo to cut ~300 cal
  • Highest-caffeine drinks: ER-911, large Rebel, Red Bull-base infusion
Ordering tips

How to actually order at Dutch Bros

App

Download Dutch Rewards first

Signup gets you a free drink any size. After that, 1 point per dollar, free drink every ~$50 spent, free birthday drink, and exclusive monthly offers. App also handles mobile order-ahead.

Hot vs. iced

Hot drinks come in smaller cups

Hot sizes are 12 / 16 / 20 oz; iced and Rebel sizes are 16 / 24 / 32 oz. A "Medium" hot drink is significantly smaller than a Medium iced drink. Order up if you want the bigger pour.

Customization

Build your own Rebel

The Rebel menu is essentially a flavor library. You can ignore the named combos and build any flavor mix yourself — up to 4 syrups in a Rebel are typically included in the base price.

Sticker Day

Watch for the monthly Sticker Day

Usually the last Friday of the month — a designated drink supports a designated nonprofit and you get a free collectible Dutch Bros sticker. Strong collector market on resale.

Caffeine

Rebel ≫ coffee on caffeine

A 16 oz Blue Rebel has about 188 mg of caffeine — more than a Large iced coffee (~160 mg) and double a Small latte. If you want the buzz, go Rebel.

Be nice to broistas

Stand chat is a feature, not a bug

Dutch Bros stands are built around two drive lanes and walk-up windows, with broistas trained to chat at the window. Lines move fast, but the brand is deliberately conversational. Tip jars are common.

About Dutch Bros

Two brothers, an Oregon pushcart, and the West's biggest coffee culture.

Dane and Travis Boersma started Dutch Bros in 1992 as a pushcart in Grants Pass, Oregon — sons of a Dutch immigrant dairyman who switched from cows to coffee after losing their family farm. The chain grew slowly through the 1990s and 2000s, then accelerated through the 2010s on a franchise-light, drive-thru-only model that prioritized the speed of the window and the personality of the staff — known internally as "broistas."

The model is now a public company (NYSE: BROS since 2021) with roughly 900 stands and a brand identity built on three things: the Rebel energy drink line (no other major chain has anything like it), an aggressive culture of charity (Sticker Days, Buck for Kids Day, Drink One for Dane), and a customization-first menu that turns most orders into a conversation. Travis Boersma is the public face of the company today; founding brother Dane died of ALS in 2009, which the brand still memorializes annually.

Common questions

Dutch Bros menu — frequently asked questions

Quick answers to the questions people most commonly ask about Dutch Bros' menu, prices, Rebel energy drinks and customization upcharges.

How much is a Dutch Bros Annihilator?

The Annihilator is priced at roughly $4.75 for a Small, $5.25 for a Medium and $5.95 for a Large as of May 2026. It's Dutch Bros' most-ordered specialty drink — a breve (half-and-half) espresso build with chocolate macadamia nut syrup. Pricing varies by market: California, the Pacific Northwest and Hawaii run higher; Idaho, Arizona and Texas suburbs often sit a touch below the averages shown.

What's the difference between a Rebel and a coffee at Dutch Bros?

A Rebel is Dutch Bros' proprietary blue-raspberry-flavored energy drink base — it has no coffee in it, but contains significantly more caffeine than a standard espresso drink (roughly 188 mg per 16 oz). The drink is served over ice and customized with flavor syrups: Tropic Like It's Hot, Shark Attack, Astronaut, Palm Beach and dozens of other combos. A regular Dutch Bros coffee (Annihilator, Picture Perfect, Caramelizer, etc.) is espresso-based with milk or half-and-half. Rebels are larger than coffee drinks at the same size cup, but priced about $1 higher per size.

How big is a Small, Medium and Large at Dutch Bros?

Dutch Bros sizes are 16 oz Small, 24 oz Medium and 32 oz Large for most cold and Rebel drinks. Hot drinks run smaller — typically 12 oz Small, 16 oz Medium, 20 oz Large. A Kids' "Mini" size is also available (roughly 8 oz) for kids' drinks like the Not So Hot Cocoa. For comparison, a Starbucks Tall is 12 oz and a Venti is 24 oz iced — so a Dutch Bros Large is bigger than the biggest standard Starbucks cup.

Is Dutch Bros cheaper than Starbucks?

On a like-for-like specialty-drink comparison, Dutch Bros is generally cheaper than Starbucks by $0.30–$0.80 per drink. A Medium (24 oz) Caramelizer at Dutch Bros runs about $5.75 vs. a Grande (16 oz) Caramel Macchiato at Starbucks for around $6.45 — and the Dutch Bros drink is 8 oz larger. On the cheapest drip coffee, the two are within $0.25. Where Starbucks tends to be cheaper: simple Americanos and brewed coffee at the Small/Tall size. Where Dutch Bros wins: larger sizes, specialty espresso drinks, and the entire Rebel energy-drink category (Starbucks has no equivalent product).

What's the most popular Dutch Bros drink?

By widely-reported volume, the most-ordered Dutch Bros drink is the Annihilator — a chocolate macadamia nut breve espresso drink priced around $5.25 for a Medium. The Picture Perfect (caramel + chocolate macadamia), Blue Rebel, Caramelizer and Cocomo round out the top five. Among Rebels specifically, Tropic Like It's Hot and Shark Attack are the most-ordered combos. Among Soft Top creations, the Soft Top Cold Brew leads.

How much does it cost to add Soft Top, an extra shot, or oat milk?

Dutch Bros customization pricing (May 2026 averages): Soft Top adds about $0.65 to any drink. An extra shot of espresso is roughly $0.85. Alt-milk swaps — oat, almond, coconut, lactose-free — typically add $0.65–$0.85. An extra flavor syrup runs around $0.70. Converting a coffee drink to a Red Bull base instead of espresso adds about $1.50. Whip is free. Customization prices vary by market — confirm with your local stand.

Does Dutch Bros have a value menu?

Dutch Bros doesn't market a formal "value menu," but the cheapest tier of the board is Drip Coffee ($3.25 Small), plain Iced Tea ($3.25 Small), Lemonade ($3.50 Small) and Steamers ($3.95 Small). Through the Dutch Rewards app, members earn points on every purchase and unlock free drinks at point thresholds (typically every 7th drink). Dutch Bros also runs monthly "Sticker Days" — a fundraiser where a specific drink supports a designated cause and customers receive a collectible sticker. Birthday rewards (a free drink any size) are app-exclusive.

Where are Dutch Bros locations?

Dutch Bros operates roughly 900 locations, concentrated in the U.S. West and Southwest. The largest state footprints are Oregon (the home state, ~120+), California, Arizona, Idaho, Nevada, Texas, Washington and Colorado, with ongoing expansion into Oklahoma, Tennessee, Kansas, Missouri and the Southeast. Almost all locations are drive-thru only — most stands have no inside seating, just a walk-up window and two drive lanes. Find the nearest stand at dutchbros.com/locations.

What is Sticker Day at Dutch Bros?

Sticker Day is Dutch Bros' monthly community fundraiser — usually the last Friday of the month — where a designated drink supports a designated nonprofit, and customers who order receive a free collectible Dutch Bros sticker. The stickers are highly collected (active resale market on eBay), and the fundraiser model is core to Dutch Bros' brand identity. Each location's drink and beneficiary often varies; check social or the Dutch Rewards app for the current month.

How does Dutch Rewards work?

Dutch Rewards is the free Dutch Bros loyalty program, run entirely through the Dutch Bros app. You earn 1 point per dollar spent; rewards begin at 50 points (a free drink or food item) and stack from there. New members get a free drink any size on signup. Members also get a free drink on their birthday, monthly bonus offers, and early access to new menu items. The app handles mobile ordering, payment, gift cards and finding nearby stands — Dutch Bros pushes app adoption heavily because in-app order data drives their drive-thru throughput.
